Innovation

Project

As the Director of Product Design at Airobotics, I was tasked with leading the design and development of a state-of-the-art user interface for the drone control and data management platform. The goal was to create an intuitive, scalable, and reliable interface that supported complex drone operations while providing a seamless user experience for operators across various industries.

Role

In my role as Director of Product Design, I led a cross-functional team of designers, engineers, and marketing.
My responsibilities included: Defining the overall product vision and design strategy. Leading end-to-end design processes, from initial user research to wireframes, prototypes, and final design.

Collaborating closely with stakeholders to align product objectives with user needs. Overseeing user testing and iterating based on feedback.

Challanges

The platform had to cater to operators in high-stakes industries such as mining and security, where precision and reliability were paramount.

The design needed to support diverse workflows and expand as new features were added.

Ensuring that data was presented clearly and accurately in real-time, without overwhelming users.

Strategy

1

User-Centric Research: Conducting thorough interviews and field studies with drone operators to understand their pain points and requirements.
